After graduating from university, I decided to look for a career in which I can excel in, and at the same time allow me to get ahead of my peers. I was exploring various industries like banking, finance, and consultancy just to name a few. It was also at that time when I was invited to attend a seminar by a financial advisory firm. It was after attending this particular seminar that opened up my mind to the idea of sales and financial services.
Subsequently, one of my friends referred me to her friend who was a manager in Peter Tan Organisation (PTO®). That was also my first encounter with PTO®. After listening to him talk about the organisation culture as well as the structure that it has, I decided to attend BASE® camp to find out more about the organisation.
It was during BASE® camp that I met Peter Tan and listened to his personal story, the difficulties he faced and the struggles he had when he decided to join the industry. When considering the situation Peter Tan was in as compared to mine, mine definitely pales in comparison. It was then that I decided to join the industry.
